HD Hyundai Construction Equipment North America has strengthened its dealer network by partnering with DSR Equipment, a long-established equipment supplier with nearly three decades of experience. The collaboration introduces two full-service Hyundai dealership locations in South Dakota: one in Watertown and another in Piedmont.
The Watertown branch will deliver Hyundai's complete lineup of excavators, dozers and wheel loaders to customers across eastern South Dakota. Meanwhile, the Piedmont location will cater to contractors, farmers and municipalities throughout the western region.
“As a Hyundai dealership, DSR now offers a more complete product line of wheel loaders, dozers and excavators to our customers,” said Randy Reddig, DSR founder and owner. “We’re a 28-year-old business with a reputation built on service. Hyundai is known for high-value, durable, reliable equipment, and our customers can expect not only high-quality equipment, but high-quality service from DSR.”
DSR’s customer base is currently divided roughly 60/40 between the construction and agriculture sectors, giving the company a versatile reach across industries. With the addition of Hyundai’s product line, the dealership will now be able to bid on larger-scale infrastructure projects and provide enhanced support to farmers, contractors and utility firms.
The partnership was commemorated with a plaque presentation from HD Hyundai north central district manager Ed Harseim to company founder Randy Reddig. The event also included members of the family-owned business, including Connor and Trevor Reddig.
“Hyundai is happy to add DSR Equipment to our North American dealer roster,” said Harseim. “DSR fits the profile of successful Hyundai dealerships, with long-established customer relationships, a growing sales operation and a focus on providing excellent service.”
The partnership arrives at a strategically important time, as demand for heavy machinery in South Dakota rises due to highway reconstruction, development projects and agricultural modernization. By becoming an authorized Hyundai dealer, DSR Equipment gains access to advanced machinery technology, financing programs and factory-backed warranty support.
The new locations will offer parts, service, maintenance and equipment rentals, in addition to supporting municipal and commercial fleet customers. Industry observers note that the move could attract new buyers who previously traveled out of state for equipment purchases.
With Hyundai expanding its North American dealer footprint and DSR reinforcing its regional presence, the collaboration is expected to create new employment opportunities and deliver greater product access to both rural and urban customers across South Dakota.
