EquipmentShare Launches $185M Expansion with New Georgia Branch

Caroline Raffetto

EquipmentShare, one of the fastest-growing construction technology and equipment rental providers in the nation, has officially opened its newest Georgia branch in Richmond Hill — marking a major milestone in a statewide expansion that includes up to $185 million in investment and the creation of 148 new jobs.

State, regional and local officials joined EquipmentShare leadership for a ribbon-cutting ceremony at the company’s new Core Solutions facility at 161 Thunderbird Drive in the Savannah area.

Co-founder and CEO Jabbok Schlacks said Georgia’s rapid growth made it a natural choice for expansion.

“Georgia is building at an incredible pace, from the Port of Savannah and the I-16/I-95 corridor to new manufacturing, energy and data center projects,” said Schlacks. “By expanding here, we are putting our T3® platform and a modern, well-maintained fleet within reach of more contractors, helping them work safer, reduce downtime and deliver on schedule across the Peach State.”

The company plans to open five additional Georgia locations, bringing its statewide footprint to 14 sites offering Core, Advanced, and Tooling Solutions. Every machine within EquipmentShare’s extensive fleet connects through its proprietary T3® technology, providing contractors with real-time visibility, tracking, utilization data and on-site support.

Georgia officials praised the company’s investment and community-driven approach.

“EquipmentShare supports business growth and job opportunities across the state during a critical time in Georgia’s industrial development,” said Misti Martin, deputy commissioner of Global Commerce at the Georgia Department of Economic Development. “We are excited that EquipmentShare will continue to expand its locations, services, and philanthropic support in Georgia’s communities. Congratulations to Richmond Hill and EquipmentShare on today’s milestone.”

Local leadership emphasized the strategic importance of Savannah as a logistics and infrastructure hub.

“Savannah is a hub for big, complex work, and our team is ready to support it,” said Brian Bacon, general manager of EquipmentShare’s Savannah branch. “Whether it is expansions, coastal resilience projects, industrial needs or disaster response, we bring T3 visibility, rapid on-site service and the right mix of Core, Advanced and Tooling Solutions to keep Georgia jobsites moving.”

Giving Back to the Community

As part of its “People First” culture, EquipmentShare will donate $2,500 annually from each Georgia location to local nonprofit organizations. During the ceremony, the company announced that a portion of its Savannah contribution will support the Exchange Club of Richmond Hill, which focuses on youth programs and child abuse prevention.

“I was honored and humbled to receive the news that EquipmentShare selected us as a partner,” said Exchange Club President Chris Raiford. “Our organization focuses on local children’s needs, and this donation will directly impact local Student of the Month initiatives as well as an annual Exchange Club Scholarship to a local high school senior. We truly thank EquipmentShare for being a great local partner!”

With 348 locations nationwide and ambitions to exceed 700 within the next few years, EquipmentShare’s move in Georgia marks another step in reshaping how contractors track, operate and manage equipment across complex infrastructure environments.
