As contractors continue aligning their organizations following mergers and market expansion, FlatironDragados has announced a series of executive appointments designed to strengthen leadership across its North American operations.
FlatironDragados has appointed Richard Grabinski as president of its U.S. business, where he will oversee efforts to diversify the company's project portfolio, strengthen its presence in existing markets and pursue growth opportunities across new sectors.
Dale Nelson has been named chief operating officer for the U.S. organization. In his new role, he will oversee operational performance with an emphasis on project execution, consistency and delivery across the company's construction portfolio.
In Canada, Mirsad Hairlahovic has been appointed president and will be responsible for the operational and financial performance of the company's Canadian business while supporting portfolio diversification and client development.
Rafael de la Barreda has been promoted to executive vice president of preconstruction and western operations for Canada. His responsibilities include overseeing preconstruction, business development and operational activities across western Canada.
The appointments come as FlatironDragados continues integrating its combined operations following the merger of Flatiron and Dragados. The company said the new leadership structure is intended to improve operational execution, strengthen market positioning and support continued growth throughout the United States and Canada.
The leadership team will oversee activities spanning infrastructure markets across North America while focusing on project delivery, operational performance and business development.
Leadership alignment plays an important role as large contractors manage increasingly complex infrastructure programs across multiple regions. For construction owners and project partners, organizational changes at major contractors can strengthen operational oversight, improve project execution and support long-term delivery capacity across transportation and civil infrastructure markets.
