Fusion21 has launched the renewal of its national Building Safety and Compliance Framework, valued at up to £800 million over the next four years. This fourth-generation framework is specifically designed to help public sector landlords ensure the safety and compliance of a wide range of building types.
A key addition to the framework is a new lot dedicated to sprinkler and mist systems, which addresses advancements in fire safety. The framework is structured into twelve distinct lots, covering a variety of safety services such as asbestos management, fire safety, and electronic security, providing landlords with access to specialized suppliers for all their building safety needs.
Peter Francis, Group Executive Director (Operations) at Fusion21, emphasized the framework’s importance in responding to recent legislative changes like the Building Safety Act 2022. He said: “Set to launch in April 2025, this framework renewal will enable members to continue addressing the unique safety challenges of buildings ensuring the ‘golden thread’ of information is maintained, while also helping to address the challenges created by new legislation – such as the Building Safety Act (BSA 2022).”
The framework is set to operate under the Public Contracts Regulations 2015, offering flexible call-off options and cost efficiencies for Fusion21 members. It also provides expert support to help landlords meet their safety and compliance obligations.
This structure offers both regional and national coverage, ensuring landlords have the necessary resources to meet safety regulations.
Fusion21 is calling for applications from both new and existing suppliers who meet the required criteria. Interested parties can apply through the Fusion21 website under the ‘Current opportunities’ section. The deadline for tender submissions is set for Friday, 17 January 2025, at 12 noon.
Fusion21's £800m Building Safety and Compliance Framework provides a comprehensive solution to help landlords maintain safe and compliant buildings while supporting them with expert services tailored to new and evolving safety standards.
