The completion of a purpose-built public safety facility gives municipal owners a modern operational asset while advancing a larger civic redevelopment program. The City of Garden Grove marked the opening of its new Public Safety Facility on Sept. 1, 2026, as part of the city's ongoing Civic Center Revitalization Project.
The new facility was designed around the operational requirements of the Garden Grove Police Department. Its features include reinforced structural components, specialized glazing and upgraded security systems.
The building also provides dedicated areas for emergency operations, training, collaboration and community engagement, alongside workspaces for sworn officers and professional staff. The design is intended to support police department operations and accommodate the department's long-term needs.
Edgemoor Infrastructure & Real Estate partnered with the City of Garden Grove on the development. Clark Construction served as the design-builder, while AC Martin provided architectural services.
The Public Safety Facility represents a major component of the broader Civic Center Revitalization Project, which includes modernization of civic facilities and public spaces in the city's central area.
The Sept. 1 opening brought together city officials, police personnel, project partners and community members to mark the facility's transition into operation. The milestone follows the project's broader objective of replacing or upgrading civic infrastructure to support municipal services.
