Granger Construction has named Bill Bofysil the recipient of its 2026 Chairman’s Award, recognising his contributions to construction projects, team development and leadership during nearly two decades with the company.
Bofysil has played a role in delivering several major facilities at Michigan State University (MSU), including the award-winning STEM Teaching and Learning Facility, the Tom Izzo Football Building and the Student Recreation and Wellness Center.
He is currently helping lead work associated with MSU’s largest infrastructure initiative, which includes a new Southwest Regional Chilled Water Plant and an addition to the university’s Combined Heat and Power Unit.
These projects support the university’s campus facilities and infrastructure, while reflecting Granger’s ongoing involvement in significant institutional construction work across Michigan.
Beyond project delivery, Granger highlighted Bofysil’s role in mentoring colleagues and helping develop future construction leaders. The company said he regularly supports team members as they work through challenges, build confidence and prepare for leadership responsibilities.
His approach emphasises collaboration, humility and problem-solving, with a focus on recognising the contributions of the wider project team.
The Chairman’s Award recognises individuals whose dedication, loyalty and conduct reflect Granger Construction’s values. Bofysil’s recognition underscores the importance of experienced project leadership and employee development in delivering complex institutional construction projects.
