As families prepare for a new school year, access to basic classroom supplies remains an important community need. Wayne J. Griffin Electric Inc. recently supported students in two Massachusetts communities through its annual Backpack Drive, providing backpacks and school supplies to children in Holliston and Milford.
The electrical contractor partnered with the Holliston Pantry Shelf and youth programs in Milford to distribute the supplies. Employees helped prepare backpacks for students ranging from pre-kindergarten through high school, providing materials intended to cover common classroom needs at different grade levels.
The donated backpacks included writing utensils, colored pencils, notebooks, folders, hand sanitizer and water bottles, among other school essentials.
The initiative provides direct support during the back-to-school period, when families can face additional expenses associated with preparing children for a new academic year. By supplying materials in advance, the program helps students begin the school year with essential items for classroom participation.
The effort also extends Griffin Electric's community involvement beyond its electrical construction operations. The annual Backpack Drive is part of a broader range of initiatives supported by the company and its employees throughout the year.
