Active hospitality and private-club facilities require construction programs that balance major renovations with uninterrupted daily operations. Hedrick Brothers Construction has begun a multi-year improvement program at The Club at Ibis in Palm Beach County, Florida, with work structured around phased campus upgrades.
Construction began Aug. 4, 2026, with preconstruction and site activities underway. Hedrick Brothers is serving as Construction Manager at Risk for the program.
The first phase centers on interior renovations to the Main Clubhouse. Subsequent work is planned across the North and South Campus and will include improvements to the club's racquet facilities, including new pickleball and padel courts.
The program also calls for a new spa building and a Member Activity Center in the former Property Owners Association building.
Additional planned improvements include new bocce and basketball courts, renovation and expansion of the Fitness Center, and construction of a casual restaurant with outdoor seating.
The project team includes Bob Cashin for executive oversight, David Rawdon as project manager and primary club liaison, Brad Harrison and Eric Hudson as lead superintendents, and Ryan Hutchins overseeing preconstruction and estimating.
The multi-year schedule is designed around phased construction, with project planning focused on maintaining member access and ongoing club operations while work progresses across the campus.
The Club at Ibis program illustrates the coordination requirements associated with renovating occupied luxury hospitality and recreation facilities. For owners and contractors, phased delivery can allow significant amenity improvements while existing operations continue, requiring detailed sequencing, site logistics and communication among project stakeholders.
