On Friday, September 6, Hensel Phelps celebrated 12 trade partners at the third annual Trade Partner Appreciation Awards Luncheon held by the Tysons Corner office. Organized by Hensel Phelps’ Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Community (DEIc) forum, the event recognized and celebrated the vital contributions of the trade partner community.
First Choice Masonry was nominated by the Mission Operations Record Center (MORC) project team at Ft. Meade for their exceptional performance, exceeding the expectations of Hensel Phelps, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), and the Maryland Procurement Offices (MPO). Their commitment to quality, adherence to project schedules, and proactive communication set a high standard for the work installed in the field.
On the Lockheed Martin Valley Forge project, H&K Group made a significant impact as the first crew on site, establishing a benchmark for efficiency through careful planning and timely delivery of materials and equipment. Their engagement during charrettes and coordination meetings proved invaluable, and they were quick to address any issues that arose.
During the MORC project’s design phase, Southland Industries consistently offered valuable insights for the mechanical trades, including details on shielding for skin penetrations and commissioning plan examples. Their proactive approach to coordination and willingness to make design adjustments demonstrated their commitment to collaboration.
Trade partners were nominated by Hensel Phelps project teams across various categories to celebrate outstanding performance. A regional selection committee reviewed the nominations to determine the winners for each award.
