A new religious facility is moving forward in the Birmingham area after Hoar Construction received a building permit for the relocation of St. Peter's Anglican Church. The project adds to ongoing institutional development activity across the metro region and represents a new investment in community infrastructure.
The permit was issued as part of a series of construction projects valued at more than $1 million approved during the week in the Birmingham metropolitan area.
St. Peter's Anglican Church plans to relocate from its current location on Montevallo Road in Mountain Brook to a new campus at 605 Hagood Street in Birmingham's Crestline Park neighborhood.
The development will feature a 34,600-square-foot facility on approximately 3.5 acres adjacent to the Crestline Park Shopping Center. Plans include a sanctuary along with additional church and ministry spaces designed to support congregation activities.
Hoar Construction has been issued a $1.2 million building permit associated with the project, allowing work to move forward on the new church campus.
The permit represents an important step in the project's development as construction activity advances on the planned relocation.
