Construction teams delivering complex infrastructure across Idaho are receiving recognition for projects that demonstrate strong execution, engineering innovation, and community value. IMCO Construction has two projects named as finalists in the 2026 Idaho Business Review Top Project Awards, highlighting work in both military infrastructure and data center development.
The Mountain Home Air Force Base Water Resilience project was selected as a finalist in the Infrastructure/Utility category. IMCO Construction partnered with Stantec to deliver the design-build project, which includes construction of a new Snake River water intake, a pump station, a 14-mile transmission pipeline, and a new water treatment facility serving Mountain Home Air Force Base.
The project is designed to strengthen long-term water reliability for the military installation through new regional water infrastructure.
IMCO Construction also contributed to the Kuna Data Center project, which was nominated by Hensel Phelps for the awards program. IMCO performed the water infrastructure portion of the large construction manager/general contractor project.
The annual awards recognize projects throughout Idaho based on criteria including project execution, design quality, innovation, safety performance, schedule and budget management, and overall community impact.
This year's competition includes 35 nominated projects spanning five award categories. Final rankings will be announced during an awards banquet scheduled for Oct. 8 in Boise.
Recognition for both projects reflects continued investment in critical infrastructure supporting defense facilities and rapidly expanding digital infrastructure. For construction owners and contractors, the finalist selections underscore the growing importance of integrated utility systems, collaborative delivery methods, and specialized civil construction expertise on large-scale public and private projects.
