The latest recognition comes during a period when large construction firms are navigating increasing pressure tied to workforce shortages, project complexity, procurement volatility and tightening delivery schedules across both public and private sectors.

JE Dunn President and CEO Gordon Lansford said the company’s continued recognition reflects the contributions of employees, clients and project partners across its operations.

Under the program criteria, companies are evaluated through an independent review process focused on four primary areas: strategic planning, operational execution, corporate culture and governance performance.

The recognition is reserved for private U.S. companies generating at least $250 million in annual revenue. Platinum status is awarded to organizations that maintain the designation for seven or more years.

For construction firms, management-focused awards are increasingly becoming indicators of organizational resilience and long-term operational stability. Owners and developers are placing greater emphasis on contractor leadership structures, workforce retention strategies and risk management capabilities as projects become larger and more technically demanding.

The construction industry has also experienced growing competition for skilled labor and executive talent, prompting firms to invest more heavily in company culture, succession planning and employee development programs.

Industry analysts say firms with strong internal governance and operational consistency are often better positioned to manage supply chain disruptions, inflationary pressures and complex delivery methods such as design-build, integrated project delivery and prefabrication-driven construction.

JE Dunn has continued expanding its presence across healthcare, manufacturing, higher education, federal and mission-critical construction markets, sectors where clients increasingly prioritize contractor reliability and long-term execution capability alongside cost considerations.

The broader Best Managed Companies program operates globally, recognizing private companies across multiple industries that demonstrate sustained organizational performance and leadership maturity.
