Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital has revealed plans to expand its emergency department (ED) and operating suites at its St. Petersburg, Florida campus, with construction set to begin in spring 2025, according to the Tampa Bay Times.
The $62 million project will involve adding a two-story, 28,000-square-foot building to the hospital’s existing ED, designed to accommodate complex pediatric surgeries. The new facility will include six flexible ED rooms dedicated to pediatric care and the hospital’s four largest operating suites, which will be located on the second floor.
The expansion is slated for completion in the summer of 2026.
