Boutique Combines Retail and Coffee Experiences

A new Nespresso boutique at Westfield Century City brings coffee discovery, tasting and customer demonstrations into a purpose-built retail environment delivered by JRM Construction West in Los Angeles.

Completed in October 2026, the boutique incorporates a self-guided tasting and discovery area, coffee roasting and mini masterclass experiences, accessory engraving, capsule recycling and customer seating.

The layout centres on an integrated coffee bar designed for beverage preparation, tastings and demonstrations. The project team coordinated the specialised infrastructure and commercial equipment needed to support these activities within the finished retail space.

Detailed Architectural Finishes Shape the Interior

The boutique features a new structural storefront with oversized glass to create an open entrance. Interior construction included full-height walls with tight-radius curves, curved gypsum board ceilings, smooth plaster finishes in customer-facing areas and integrated lighting.

JRM Construction West worked with Valerio Architects, ACIES Engineering and Ludwig Structural Consulting to deliver the project. The combination of detailed architectural finishes and specialised operational systems required coordination across the design and construction teams.

Retail Construction Requires Technical Coordination

The Nespresso boutique illustrates the construction requirements involved in delivering specialised retail spaces that combine customer experiences with operational functions. Coffee preparation, equipment installation, lighting and architectural finishes had to be integrated within a compact footprint.

For retail developers and operators, projects of this type require coordination between designers, engineers, contractors and equipment providers to deliver both the intended customer environment and the infrastructure needed for daily operations.
