Memphis-based Fogelman made two high-level leadership moves, strengthening both its investment and operations divisions.
The firm appointed Kristy Heuberger as president of investment management, a newly created role overseeing transactions, portfolio management, asset management, capital formation and investor relations.
Heuberger — who brings more than 30 years of real estate experience and most recently served as co-head of the Americas and head of asset management at LaSalle Investment Management — will spearhead the evolution of Fogelman’s investment platform.
Meanwhile, Justin Marshall, formerly chief operating officer, was promoted to president of property services. In this role, he will oversee property operations, construction management and client relations for managed assets, reinforcing Fogelman’s focus on scalable service delivery.
North Carolina-based Grubb Properties also announced senior promotions, naming Todd Williams as president and Harold A. “Skip” Schwartz III as chief investment officer.
Williams — who joined the firm in 2005 as senior vice president of investments and has served as chief investment officer since 2016 — will now lead construction, development and operations teams.
He will succeed Scott Brown, who will transition to a senior advisor role supporting strategic initiatives.
Schwartz, who joined the company earlier this year, brings three decades of real estate investment management experience across global markets. As CIO, he will be responsible for expanding institutional partnerships, while leading capital formation, investor relations and asset management functions.
Rounding out the leadership moves, Chicago-based Waterton hired Sean Jacobson as senior vice president of portfolio management.
Jacobson will guide multifamily investment strategies, portfolio construction and diversification across Waterton’s value-add fund platform, according to a company statement.
His previous roles include director of real estate at NexPoint Real Estate Advisors, where he led acquisitions, asset management and dispositions, and senior acquisition/asset manager at BH Equities, overseeing investment execution across multifamily portfolios.
