Lake Almanor Hospital Project Reviewed by USDA

Seneca Healthcare District recently welcomed representatives from the U.S. Department of Agriculture to the construction site of the new Lake Almanor Community Hospital for an in-person tour and project update.

According to the district, the visit allowed staff, leadership, and project partners to highlight construction progress while discussing upcoming phases of development. USDA representatives toured the site, reviewed current work, and participated in discussions focused on the hospital’s long-term role in serving the Lake Almanor basin.

“USDA representatives expressed positive feedback on the project’s advancement and the district’s careful stewardship of resources,” said SHD. “They also acknowledged the strong community-centered approach guiding the hospital’s development, noting its importance to rural health care access and regional resilience.”

The new Lake Almanor Community Hospital is expected to offer expanded services, improved access to care, and modern medical technology. Construction is currently underway, with completion anticipated in early 2027.
