Construction Owners Editorial Team

Highlights

  • Langan and Safe Software are collaborating to simplify deployment of Langan's IndoorFusion solution.
  • The offering bundles required Safe Software products with IndoorFusion.
  • IndoorFusion connects GIS, facility management, asset management, BIM and other enterprise systems.
  • The collaboration supports automated data integration and workflow management.
  • The initiative targets organizations seeking more connected facility and operational data.

Construction and facility owners increasingly manage information across GIS, BIM, asset management and workplace systems. Connecting those platforms can reduce duplicate data handling and provide project and facility teams with a more consistent view of assets and operations.

Langan and Safe Software are collaborating to streamline the procurement and deployment of Langan's IndoorFusion solution, adding Safe Software products required for the platform as part of a bundled offering.

IndoorFusion Connects Facility Data Systems

Langan developed IndoorFusion through its Digital Solutions team to connect Esri ArcGIS with integrated workplace management systems, enterprise asset management platforms, BIM and other enterprise technologies.

The platform is intended to bring information from multiple systems into a connected operating environment. Langan's existing IndoorFusion capabilities include integration between ArcGIS Indoors and workplace management platforms, supporting facility mapping, space management and asset information.

The collaboration with Safe Software adds FME technology to the delivery model. FME is designed to support data integration across different sources and systems, allowing organizations to automate data movement and workflows.

Bundled Delivery Targets Easier Implementation

Under the collaboration, organizations can obtain the Safe Software products needed for IndoorFusion as part of a bundled offering. The arrangement is intended to simplify procurement and implementation rather than requiring customers to manage separate product requirements.

The combined approach can connect information from sources such as ArcGIS, facility and asset management systems, BIM, cloud platforms and other enterprise technologies. Langan said the collaboration will also support automated workflows and reduce manual data synchronization.

Langan's digital-solutions practice already provides enterprise software integration, GIS, BIM, asset management and data-management services for organizations across the built environment.

Why It Matters

For construction owners, developers and facility operators, integrating project and building information across multiple platforms can improve access to current asset and facility data.

The Langan-Safe Software collaboration gives organizations a more consolidated path for deploying IndoorFusion while adding data-integration capabilities that can support automated workflows. The approach is particularly relevant to owners managing complex facilities where GIS, BIM and asset-management information must remain connected through ongoing operations.
