Acquisition Expands Texas Footprint

Langan Engineering & Environmental Services has acquired Kirkman Engineering, a Dallas-Fort Worth consulting firm specializing in land development engineering.

Founded in 2014, Kirkman provides engineering services for commercial, industrial warehouse and residential development projects throughout North Texas.

The acquisition increases Langan's Texas workforce to approximately 225 employees operating from seven offices across the state. It also marks the company's fourth acquisition in Texas as it continues to expand its regional operations.

Strengthening Land Development Services

The addition of Kirkman broadens Langan's engineering capabilities in the Dallas-Fort Worth metropolitan area, one of the country's most active real estate and construction markets.

Kirkman's experience in site development engineering complements Langan's environmental and engineering consulting services, providing expanded resources for developers, property owners and commercial clients pursuing projects throughout Texas.

The combined organization is expected to leverage local market knowledge alongside Langan's national engineering platform.

Why It Matters

Consolidation within the engineering and consulting sector continues as firms seek to expand geographic coverage, technical expertise and client relationships in high-growth markets. For construction owners, developers and contractors, acquisitions such as this can provide broader multidisciplinary services, increased staffing capacity and enhanced local support for commercial, industrial and residential development projects.
