Langan environmental professional Caryn Barnes has received a 2026 Enterprising Women in Commerce Platinum Honor for her work in New Jersey's business and environmental sectors.

Barnes has more than three decades of experience addressing environmental investigations and remediation projects. Her work includes technical and regulatory matters that can affect property redevelopment, site cleanup and project compliance.
She has also participated in the development of environmental regulations, rules and guidance. Her professional activities include involvement with New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection stakeholder working groups.
Barnes previously served as president of the LSRP Association and continues to contribute to environmental policy and regulatory discussions in New Jersey.
