Historic preservation and higher education construction projects led by LeChase Construction received recognition at this year's Brick by Brick Awards, highlighting adaptive reuse and campus renovation work completed in Western New York.
The John Kam Building Historic Renovation earned the highest recognition in the adaptive reuse/housing category during the 2026 Brick by Brick Awards.
LeChase Construction served as construction manager for the redevelopment, which transformed the historic John Kam Malt House into a mixed-use residential property featuring 86 apartments and commercial space. The project preserved significant industrial architectural elements while adapting the building for modern residential use.
The Brick by Brick Awards, presented annually, recognize notable achievements in real estate development and construction across Western New York.
A second LeChase project, the University at Buffalo Foster Hall Renovation, was selected as a finalist in the collegiate category.
