Community engagement remains a component of construction companies' local outreach, with LeChase Construction Services supporting a regional fundraising event through employee participation. LeChase sponsored and staffed a rest stop for cyclists during the 2026 Tour de Keuka, a charity ride benefiting the United Way of the Southern Tier.

Cycling Event Supports Regional Programs

The Tour de Keuka was held Aug. 1, 2026, with riders traveling routes of 45, 60 or 100 miles around Keuka Lake. The event also offered a virtual participation option.

Funds raised through the event support programs serving children, senior citizens, individuals and families in Chemung and Steuben counties. Participants were required to meet a fundraising commitment in addition to the event registration fee.

The ride began and ended at the Hammondsport Fire Station in Hammondsport, New York.

LeChase Employees Provide Rider Support

LeChase's team operated a rest stop along the route, providing cyclists with water and snacks during the ride. The participation added volunteer support to an event that relies on sponsors and volunteers to serve riders across the course.

The activity is part of LeChase's community involvement efforts and follows the construction company's participation in other regional volunteer initiatives.

Why It Matters

For construction companies, community involvement can provide opportunities for employees to participate directly in local events while supporting nonprofit organizations. LeChase's Tour de Keuka involvement connected its workforce with a regional fundraising event supporting programs in the Southern Tier.
