Leopardo has expanded its technology leadership structure by promoting Doug Snider to vice president of construction technology and innovation.
In his new position, Snider will lead Leopardo's construction technology strategy and innovation roadmap. His responsibilities include evaluating technology solutions and determining where they can be applied across project planning, coordination, construction and closeout.
Snider will also continue overseeing Leopardo's Virtual Design and Construction services. He brings more than two decades of industry experience spanning architecture, construction and technology.
His technical background includes LiDAR scanning, building information modeling, robotic total stations and augmented reality. He has applied these technologies on healthcare, multifamily, adaptive reuse and civic projects to support constructability reviews, field verification and project coordination.
Leopardo has established a Construction Technology & Innovation Department to evaluate emerging technologies and expand the use of solutions that demonstrate practical value.
The department will work across the organization to identify applications for digital tools and integrate proven technologies into project operations. The initiative covers technologies such as artificial intelligence and automation as construction companies increasingly incorporate digital systems into planning and field management.
The company's approach centers on applying technology where it can improve access to project information, support earlier decision-making and help teams identify potential issues before they affect field operations.
