Electrical contractor consolidation is expanding across Texas and Oklahoma as Loenbro adds Prism Electric to its multi-craft construction platform. The acquisition brings approximately 2,500 employees and expands Loenbro’s electrical construction, service and maintenance capabilities across several high-demand markets.
Loenbro announced the transaction Sept. 14, 2026, describing it as the largest acquisition in the company’s history. Financial terms were not disclosed.
Founded in 1994, Prism Electric provides electrical construction, service, maintenance and integrated technology solutions across Texas and Oklahoma. Its project experience includes data centers, healthcare facilities, industrial projects, aviation and commercial construction.
The acquisition adds a sizable electrical workforce to Loenbro while strengthening its presence in two major regional markets. Prism’s capabilities also complement Loenbro’s existing work in data centers and other infrastructure-intensive sectors.
Prism founder and President Blake Combs will remain involved following the transaction, with members of Prism’s leadership team moving into operational positions within Loenbro’s South Region.
Founded in 2000, Loenbro provides specialized construction and industrial services across electrical, mechanical, structural, underground, inspection, maintenance and fabrication operations.
The company’s markets include data centers, healthcare, advanced manufacturing, energy, aviation, commercial construction and industrial infrastructure.
The Prism transaction follows Loenbro’s strategic partnership with private equity firm Kohlberg, announced in December 2025. The partnership was established to support Loenbro’s expansion across data center and mission-critical infrastructure services.
Advisors on the transaction included Alvarez & Marsal and Evercore for Loenbro, with Godfrey & Kahn providing legal counsel. Prism was advised financially by Glaucon Partners and legally by Hallett & Perrin.
The addition of Prism gives Loenbro a larger electrical workforce and expanded operating reach across Texas and Oklahoma. Prism’s experience in mission-critical and industrial environments also adds capabilities that align with Loenbro’s existing end markets.
No purchase price, revenue or EBITDA figures were disclosed for the transaction.
The acquisition adds substantial electrical construction capacity to Loenbro’s platform at a time when large-scale data center, healthcare and industrial projects require specialized electrical and infrastructure expertise.
For construction owners and developers, the transaction also reflects continued consolidation among regional specialty contractors as larger platforms expand geographic coverage, workforce capacity and capabilities for complex construction programs.
