Leadership responsibilities across the Washington, D.C., construction market are shifting at Manhattan Construction as the general contractor assigns new regional and operational oversight roles to two experienced construction professionals. The appointments place responsibility for regional growth, client relationships and project execution with Greg Davis and Pete Togni.
Davis has been promoted to regional leader and vice president after 23 years with Manhattan Construction. Previously a project director, he will oversee regional operations, including preconstruction, client relations, strategic growth and talent development.
His project experience includes work for Catholic University, Lincoln Properties, Fairfax County, Georgetown University, George Mason University, The George Washington University, the Defense Intelligence Agency and United Airlines.
Davis holds a Bachelor of Science in environmental science and engineering from West Virginia University.
Togni's promotion to operations manager places him in charge of supporting project management teams and field operations. His responsibilities include project supervision, workforce staffing, budget control, scheduling, safety and quality.
He brings more than 30 years of construction experience spanning multifamily residential, commercial and government projects. Togni previously worked at Manhattan Construction from 1998 to 2008 and returned in 2026 after serving in other industry roles.
His project experience includes the Verizon Ashburn Campus, the Defense Intelligence Analysis Center addition at Bolling Air Force Base and Van Metre Hall at George Mason University. He holds a Bachelor of Science in building construction from Virginia Tech.
The appointments establish dedicated leadership for regional operations and day-to-day project execution. For owners and developers, the roles cover key delivery functions, including preconstruction coordination, client communication, staffing, cost control, scheduling, safety and quality management.
Manhattan Construction's decision to promote professionals with extensive regional and industry experience places established project knowledge in both leadership positions. The responsibilities assigned to Davis and Togni span the planning and field execution functions required to manage construction projects across the Washington, D.C., market.
