Multifamily Development Provides Learning Environment

Early exposure to construction projects and industry professionals can help students understand career opportunities in commercial real estate and building development. March Associates Construction hosted students from the All Stars Project of New Jersey at The Wyldes, a multifamily residential development completed by March, to provide practical insight into the construction industry.

During the visit, students toured the Class A apartment community and learned about the processes involved in delivering large-scale construction projects.

March team members discussed project planning, coordination and teamwork, while sharing their professional experiences and career paths. The session also gave students an opportunity to ask questions about construction management and commercial real estate.

Partnership Includes Workshops and Internship Opportunities

The visit forms part of March Associates Construction's ongoing partnership with the All Stars Project of New Jersey, which provides young people with opportunities to develop professional skills, confidence and connections through practical experiences.

Previous activities have included two industry workshops led by company President Lou March Jr. and members of the senior leadership team. These sessions covered career development, workplace experiences and the challenges associated with entering the professional workforce.

March has also sponsored two interns through the All Stars Development School for Youth, providing exposure to professional environments and potential careers in construction and real estate.

The partnership connects students with industry professionals and introduces them to career opportunities through direct engagement and mentorship.

Construction Mentorship Supports Workforce Development

March Associates Construction's involvement reflects an emphasis on mentorship and professional development. President Lou March Jr. began his career learning from his father, Lou March Sr., before gaining experience on major construction sites in New York City.

The company has since grown into an ENR Top 400 contractor serving clients across the Tri-State Area, with work focused on multifamily and mixed-use real estate development.

Beyond project delivery, March participates in community initiatives intended to create professional opportunities and strengthen connections with the next generation of workers.

Why It Matters

Construction workforce development extends beyond technical training and formal recruitment. Early exposure to active projects, industry professionals and career pathways can help students better understand the range of opportunities available across construction management and real estate development.

March Associates Construction's partnership with the All Stars Project demonstrates how contractors can support workforce awareness through facility visits, mentorship workshops and internship opportunities.
