March Construction's mixed-use retail project, The Yard, has been recognized with a 2026 New Good Neighbor Award from the New Jersey Business & Industry Association for its contribution to community revitalization in Wayne, New Jersey.
The Yard is a 10,500-square-foot retail development located at 1591 Alps Road in Wayne. Built at a cost of approximately $7 million, the project redeveloped a former funeral home property into a pedestrian-oriented commercial center.
March Construction delivered the project in collaboration with The Dietz Partnership, G.S. Wilcox & Co. and Kearny Bank.
The retail center is occupied by a mix of restaurant, fitness, personal care, health and educational businesses, creating commercial activity and employment opportunities within the corridor.
Located adjacent to DePaul Catholic High School, the development provides retail and service offerings for students, school staff and nearby residents while contributing to local economic activity.
The award recognizes projects that enhance surrounding communities through redevelopment, design and long-term neighborhood investment.
