Leadership succession at construction material suppliers can affect long-term operations, customer relationships and capacity planning across regional construction markets. Maschmeyer Concrete Company of Florida has transitioned to its third generation of executive leadership, with Steve Bishop taking over as CEO and Troy Maschmeyer becoming Chairman of the Board.

Executive Leadership Transition

The leadership changes took effect Aug. 24, 2026. Troy Maschmeyer, who has spent more than five decades with the organization, will continue participating in strategic direction as Chairman and owner.

Bishop will lead the company as CEO, supported by an executive team comprising Randy Hough, chief financial officer; John Lanham, chief operating officer and chief culture officer; Jim Munro, president of Florida, Ready Mix and Block; and Marty Fallon, president of Slag Cement.

The transition continues a family-owned operating structure that has guided Maschmeyer Concrete through multiple generations.

Concrete and Building Materials Operations

Maschmeyer Concrete was founded in Detroit in 1948 and began operating in Florida in 1986. The business supplies ready-mix concrete, concrete block, cement products and other building materials to the construction market.

Its product portfolio also includes recycled concrete aggregates, brick, pavers, natural and manufactured stone, masonry products and related materials.

The company's Florida operations serve construction customers across several regional markets, with operations covering ready-mix concrete, block and other construction material segments.

Why It Matters

For contractors and developers, leadership continuity at regional building-material suppliers can be relevant to procurement and project planning because concrete and masonry products are core inputs for commercial, residential and infrastructure construction.

Maschmeyer's transition places day-to-day executive leadership under Bishop while retaining Troy Maschmeyer's involvement at the board level, providing continuity as the supplier enters its third generation of leadership.
