Demand for project management training among mechanical contractors has prompted an expansion of MCAA's 2026 education schedule. The Mechanical Contractors Association of America has opened registration for an additional fall session of its Institute for Project Management program in Dallas.
The Institute for Project Management program is designed for mechanical project managers with three or more years of industry experience. The curriculum and small-group format will remain unchanged, with mechanical contractors continuing to serve as instructors.
The added session will be delivered through a blended format. The first week will combine live virtual instruction with self-paced online work. Participants will then complete six days of classroom training during the second week.
Participants must complete the required online coursework before attending the in-person portion of the program.
The Dallas session increases the number of project managers that each dues-paying company office can send to an IPM program. Each eligible office may register up to six project managers.
Registration is being handled on a first-come, first-served basis. The expanded offering gives mechanical contractors an additional opportunity to train experienced project management personnel during the 2026 calendar year.
Project managers play a central role in coordinating mechanical construction schedules, teams, budgets and project requirements. Expanding access to specialized training gives mechanical contractors another avenue for developing experienced project management staff while maintaining a program focused specifically on the needs of the trade.
