Effective communication and standardized internal processes are important to industry associations managing member services, organizational initiatives and stakeholder relationships. The Mechanical Contractors Association of America (MCAA) has appointed Marie Whitley as communications coordinator to support these functions and strengthen its communications operations.
Whitley brings more than five years of professional experience spanning federal, corporate and nonprofit organizations. Her background includes strategic communications, multimedia production, stakeholder engagement and digital content management.
In her new position, Whitley will work on improving internal communication processes, establishing standard operating procedures and developing messaging aligned with MCAA's organizational priorities.
Her responsibilities also include supporting member engagement and helping maintain consistent communications across the association's activities.
Her previous experience includes advising organizational leadership, managing digital content systems and translating complex information into accessible communications for different audiences.
Whitley earned a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Norfolk State University and is pursuing a Master of Arts in Communication at Arizona State University.
Her graduate studies cover workplace communication, corporate negotiation, conflict resolution and crisis communication management.
Communications and standardized operating procedures support the day-to-day administration of trade associations and their interactions with members and industry stakeholders. MCAA's appointment adds dedicated communications capacity for internal coordination, organizational messaging and member engagement.
