Growing construction activity across Arizona continues to drive investment in corporate infrastructure as contractors expand their regional operations. McCarthy Building Companies has announced plans to relocate its Phoenix regional headquarters to a larger office, reinforcing its long-term presence in one of the nation's fastest-growing construction markets.

New Regional Headquarters Planned for Phoenix

McCarthy Building Companies will move its Southwest regional office to 3133 E. Camelback Road in Phoenix, remaining within the Camelback Corridor business district. The larger facility is scheduled to open in late 2027 after an 18- to 20-month renovation and redesign program.

The relocation is intended to provide additional workspace as McCarthy expands its operations throughout the Phoenix metropolitan area and the broader Southwest region. The new office will accommodate the company's workforce while supporting collaboration across project teams serving a diverse client base.

McCarthy has maintained operations in the Phoenix area for more than five decades and selected a location that offers convenient access for employees, clients, and project partners.

Arizona Operations Continue to Expand

McCarthy's Southwest region delivers construction services across healthcare, education, aviation, water and wastewater infrastructure, data centers, renewable energy, battery storage, and other markets.

The headquarters project complements several recent investments the company has made across Arizona. These include the Innovation and Craft Workforce Center in Chandler, which supports more than 2,000 regional craft professionals, a prefabrication facility in Chandler, and a national Center for Learning and Development in Tempe that is scheduled to open in 2027.

The headquarters expansion reflects McCarthy's broader strategy of strengthening operational capacity while supporting workforce development and project delivery throughout the region.

Why It Matters

Arizona remains one of the country's most active construction markets, fueled by investments in advanced manufacturing, data centers, water infrastructure, education, healthcare, and aviation facilities. As project volumes increase, contractors are expanding office, training, and operational facilities to support growing workforces and more complex project delivery.

For construction owners and developers, McCarthy's headquarters expansion signals continued investment in regional resources that can support larger project portfolios, strengthen workforce capacity, and enhance collaboration across multiple market sectors.
