Design-build delivery and coordination between design and construction teams will be key topics at the upcoming 2026 DBIA Conference & Expo in Cleveland, where McCarthy Building Companies will participate as an exhibitor and presenter.
The conference is scheduled for Nov. 4-6 at a location in Cleveland, Ohio. McCarthy will have representatives available at Booth No. 101 to discuss design-build project delivery and collaboration throughout the project life cycle.
The participation provides project owners and industry professionals an opportunity to discuss approaches to integrating design and construction activities.
McCarthy representatives are also scheduled for two conference presentations.
The first is a 15-minute VDC Leadership Exchange sponsorship conversation during the exhibit hall opening reception on Nov. 4 at 5 p.m. EDT. The session will take place at the VDC Showcase in the DBIA exhibit hall.
A second presentation, scheduled for Nov. 6 from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. EDT, will focus on the transition from design to construction. The session will use the UC Davis Health Tower as a case study and address coordination, risk management and project delivery practices.
Design-build projects require coordination across design, construction and project management teams, particularly during the transition from planning into field execution. McCarthy's conference participation places those delivery and coordination issues on the agenda for owners and construction professionals evaluating design-build approaches.
