Expanding business development coverage can help construction companies strengthen regional relationships and identify project opportunities in specialized markets. McGough is expanding its Texas presence with the addition of three business development professionals focused on Dallas-Fort Worth, West Texas and key industry sectors.
The company announced Sept. 3 that Kevin Brune, Monika Melendez and Kris Lukert have joined its Texas business development team. Their combined backgrounds span architecture, engineering, construction, healthcare, technology, manufacturing and industrial sales.
Brune brings more than 25 years of experience in sales growth and strategic account management across technical and healthcare markets. Based in Dallas, he will focus on developing relationships and opportunities in advanced technology, life sciences and healthcare.
Melendez joins the Dallas team with more than a decade of experience in the architecture, engineering and construction industry. Her responsibilities will include identifying opportunities and strengthening relationships across healthcare, higher education and municipal markets in Dallas-Fort Worth and other Texas regions.
Melendez also serves as membership co-chair for the Association of Medical Facility Professionals North Texas, adding regional healthcare facilities experience to her role.
Lukert will oversee business development in West Texas. His background includes construction materials, manufacturing and industrial sales, including experience in rebar fabrication and supply. His regional industry knowledge will support McGough's efforts to develop relationships and pursue projects across the market.
The additions come as construction companies continue to compete for work across specialized building sectors, where local relationships and knowledge of procurement requirements can influence project development.
McGough's expanded team is expected to support the company from early client discussions through project delivery by connecting prospective clients with its technical and construction resources.
For construction owners and developers, a business development team with sector-specific experience can provide a direct connection to contractors that understand the requirements of particular building types. In healthcare, higher education, municipal and industrial work, early engagement can also help align project goals, delivery strategies and construction capabilities before procurement.
McGough's Texas expansion increases its business development coverage in several active construction markets while adding specialized expertise in sectors that often involve complex planning and delivery requirements.
The appointments also demonstrate how contractors are investing in regional market expertise as they seek to build project pipelines and deepen relationships with owners, developers and institutional clients.
