DULUTH, Minn. — Aug. 29, 2026 — McGough has appointed Jesse Carlson as business development manager in Duluth, adding more than a decade of real estate development, management and construction experience to its northern Minnesota operations.
Carlson will focus on expanding McGough’s presence in Duluth and the broader northern Minnesota market. His responsibilities include developing client relationships, engaging with community stakeholders and identifying potential development and construction opportunities.
Carlson has more than 10 years of experience across real estate development, management and construction. He also has established relationships with investors, business stakeholders and community leaders in the Twin Ports region.
His local market experience is expected to support McGough’s efforts to identify projects and strengthen relationships throughout northern Minnesota.
The appointment comes as construction firms continue to emphasize regional market knowledge and relationships when pursuing development, institutional and commercial opportunities. Local business development leaders can help contractors better understand project pipelines, ownership priorities and community requirements before projects enter procurement or construction.
For McGough, Carlson’s role will center on identifying opportunities where the company’s development and construction capabilities can support projects in Duluth and surrounding communities.
