The project broke ground earlier this month and will serve as the central hub for both residential and commercial operations. Muscular Moving Men, founded in 2008 after launching through a Craigslist ad, has grown into a major residential mover across metro Phoenix. Its commercial counterpart, M3 Commercial Moving & Logistics, was established in 2019.
“As a Phoenix native of 42 years and an entrepreneur that started our organization over 17 years ago, the acquisition of land and building a revolutionary headquarters in my hometown is the realization of an ever-evolving dream,” Muscular Moving Men CEO Josh Jurhill said in a press release. “This is an investment into our community and an investment into our organization.”
The headquarters will house approximately 150 employees and is designed to support long-term growth and operational efficiency.
“This will be a home base that not only myself, but our team of about 150 people, can be proud to start and end each day. I am truly grateful to be part of this wonderful country, state and city that have enabled us to thrive and provided us with the opportunities for success that this building represents.”
Two Phoenix-based moving companies are officially expanding their footprint with construction now underway on a new joint headquarters in north Phoenix. Muscular Moving Men & Storage and M3 Commercial Moving & Logistics broke ground earlier this month on the facility, which is expected to consolidate operations while enhancing employee experience and logistics capabilities.
Muscular Moving Men began serving metro Phoenix in 2008, growing from a modest startup into a well-known residential moving provider. In 2019, CEO Josh Jurhill partnered with President Justin Hodge to launch M3 Commercial Moving & Logistics, later bringing on Jim Stevens as chief operating officer and managing partner to lead the commercial division.

He added, “This will be a home base that not only myself, but our team of about 150 people, can be proud to start and end each day. I am truly grateful to be part of this wonderful country, state and city that have enabled us to thrive and provided us with the opportunities for success that this building represents.”
The 68,542-square-foot facility is being designed and built by LGE Design Build and will be located near Cave Creek Road and Rose Garden Lane. The building will feature a 32-foot clear height warehouse, conference rooms, a break room, and a warehouse training area equipped with a built-in moving truck.
“Our goal with this headquarters was to create a space that not only optimizes daily operations but also elevates the employee experience, blending warehouse, workspace, training and lifestyle elements into a single, inspiring environment,” LGE Design Build President Mike Stafford said. “We’re proud to help build a facility that reflects Muscular Moving Men and M3’s dynamic culture and supports their long-term growth.”
Additional amenities will include a fully equipped fitness center with showers, a desert garden with an outdoor patio for employees, a modern dispatch hub, and climate-controlled storage solutions.
According to LGE Design Build Executive Josh Rogers, the project faced multiple challenges before construction could begin.
“The journey to this moment has been three years in the making, with the project facing several hurdles even before construction began,” Rogers said. “LGE successfully navigated multiple rounds of rezoning to secure the green light. It’s important to note that none of this can happen without a partner like Muscular Moving Men and M3 Commercial. Their trust in us made it possible to push through every challenge and prove our resilience and ability to deliver, even on the most complex projects.”
Once completed, the headquarters is expected to support continued growth for both companies while strengthening their long-term presence in the Phoenix market.
