Industry associations continue to expand community engagement initiatives alongside workforce and professional development efforts. The Mechanical Service Contractors of America (MSCA) is continuing its long-standing partnership with Convoy of Hope, supporting disaster relief and community assistance programs through fundraising and volunteer activities.
Since 2010, MSCA and its members have contributed more than $800,000 in food, hygiene products, labor, and equipment to support communities affected by disasters and other hardships.
Annual fundraising efforts generate more than $50,000 for Convoy of Hope, with support from MSCA members and Daikin, which serves as the organization's Convoy of Hope Packing Partner Sponsor. The funding supports programs focused on disaster response, children's feeding initiatives, and community outreach.
Community service opportunities will be incorporated into the MSCA26 conference in Austin, Texas. Scheduled activities include volunteer work at the Central Texas Food Bank on Nov. 6 and the organization's Annual Packing Party on Nov. 10 at the Marriott Austin Downtown.
MSCA is also encouraging additional donations as it works toward its 2026 fundraising goal.
Community investment and disaster relief partnerships remain an important part of many construction and mechanical contracting organizations' broader industry engagement efforts. Programs that combine fundraising, volunteer service, and industry participation help strengthen relationships among contractors while supporting communities affected by natural disasters and economic hardship.
