Residential Construction Industry Gathers in Las Vegas

The National Association of Home Builders is making Las Vegas the permanent home of the International Builders’ Show beginning with the 2027 event. IBS will again be co-located with the National Kitchen & Bath Association’s Kitchen & Bath Industry Show as part of Design & Construction Week.

The combined event is expected to bring together thousands of manufacturers, suppliers, builders, remodelers, designers and other housing professionals. The scale of the exhibition gives contractors and builders an opportunity to compare products and services while assessing technologies that could affect project costs, productivity and delivery.

The show floor will feature product and service categories spanning residential construction, along with dedicated areas focused on new products, startups, construction performance and jobsite safety. Attendees will also have access to demonstration homes and exhibits highlighting residential design and building technologies.

Education and Product Demonstrations Target Builder Needs

The 2027 event will offer more than 120 education sessions across nine tracks. Topics are intended to address the operational and technical needs of builders, remodelers, designers and other housing professionals.

An Expo+Education Pass will provide access to IBS education sessions as well as the IBS and KBIS exhibit floors. Additional pre-show courses are scheduled for Jan. 31 and Feb. 1.

Networking will also be a significant part of the event, with industry gatherings and special events planned throughout the three-day program. The opening ceremonies will feature businessman and television personality Kevin O’Leary as keynote speaker.

The event will also showcase The New American Home and The New American Remodel, giving attendees opportunities to examine residential design approaches, products and smart-home technologies in completed project settings.

September Discounts Available for Registrants

NAHB is offering several registration incentives during September. Members can receive a free Expo Pass, while the nonmember Expo Pass is priced at $80.

An Expo+Education Pass is available to NAHB members for $450 during the promotional period, compared with $650 for nonmembers. Spouse registration is also free for NAHB members and $75 for nonmembers.

The event is intended for building industry professionals and affiliates rather than the general public.

Why It Matters

IBS provides residential construction companies with a concentrated opportunity to evaluate products, technologies and business practices before the 2027 construction season. For builders and contractors facing continued pressure around labor availability, material costs and project efficiency, the combination of technical education and direct access to suppliers can support purchasing and operational decisions.
