The National Demolition Association (NDA) is gearing up for two key regional events this September, bringing together members and industry professionals in Michigan and Ohio for networking, policy discussions, and a mix of professional development and social activities.

NDA’s Michigan Chapter will gather on Wednesday, Sept. 17, at the boardroom inside Little Caesars Arena in downtown Detroit—home to both the Detroit Red Wings and Detroit Pistons. The event will feature a roundtable discussion on the state’s Earned Sick Time Act (ESTA), a labor law with significant implications for contractors and demolition firms across Michigan.
The meeting will be followed by a networking social hour, giving attendees a chance to connect with peers, exchange ideas, and strengthen business relationships. The Michigan event is sponsored by Illinois-based insurance company Gallagher. While free to attend, space is limited, and participants must register online by Sept. 12.

Later in the month, the NDA’s Ohio Chapter will host its September Meeting on Thursday, Sept. 25, at Club Molisani Charities Hall in Wickliffe, Ohio, located about 15 miles east of downtown Cleveland. This gathering will include a panel discussion on an industry-relevant topic to be announced in the coming weeks.
Following the discussion and a hosted lunch, attendees will be invited to take part in a bocce ball competition, blending professional engagement with a bit of lighthearted competition. Registration for the Ohio event is set at $100 for NDA members and $200 for nonmembers.
The Wickliffe meeting has already attracted corporate sponsorship from Thornton Tomasetti, a New York-based engineering firm, and Intertek PSI, a global engineering services provider. Online registration is available for those wishing to attend.
By hosting these events, NDA is not only addressing pressing policy and industry issues but also fostering the type of community engagement and networking that strengthens demolition and construction businesses across the Midwest.
