Harbor Freight, a well-known national chain specializing in tools for both professionals and DIY enthusiasts, is constructing a new store in Butte, Montana. The store, which will be located on Dewey Boulevard in the space previously occupied by a sporting goods store, is expected to open this winter.

Harbor Freight’s expansion into Butte will create between 25 and 30 new jobs, with the official opening date to be announced in the new year.

“We’ve been looking to open a location in Butte for a number of years so that we can provide the tools and equipment at tremendous values to the community,” said Trey Feiler, Senior Vice President of Real Estate and Construction at Harbor Freight.

Feiler also mentioned the appeal of the Butte area, noting, “In addition to finding a great location, we were attracted by the availability of great associates in the Butte area, and we look forward to having them join the Harbor Freight team.”

Once completed, this new store will become Harbor Freight’s seventh location in Montana, joining existing stores in Helena, Bozeman, Missoula, Kalispell, Great Falls, and Billings. The chain operates more than 1,500 locations nationwide.
