Communities continue to invest in public spaces that support events and civic gatherings, creating opportunities for contractors involved in municipal improvement projects. The City of Newnan recently celebrated the completion of upgrades to Greenville Street Park, recognizing the project team responsible for delivering the improvements.
The completed improvements at Greenville Street Park include a renovated stage equipped with audiovisual capabilities and additional seating designed to accommodate larger community events and performances.
City officials commemorated the project with a ribbon-cutting ceremony attended by Mayor James Shepherd, members of the City Council, city management staff and representatives from the project team.
New South Construction participated in the project along with Comprehensive Program Services, Goodwyn Mills Cawood and Ironwood Design Group.
The park improvements were funded through Newnan's Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax (SPLOST) program, which supports local capital improvement projects.
According to city officials, the enhancements are intended to strengthen the park's role as a community gathering place while providing upgraded facilities for public events and entertainment.
