Parkland Residential, the build-to-rent division of Parkland Communities, has announced the start of land development at Palmetto Cay, a new BTR townhome community in Pooler, Georgia, part of the larger Providence at Pooler master development. This marks Parkland Residential’s debut project in the greater Savannah area.

The community will feature 148 stacked townhomes, thoughtfully arranged around a community green that will include a cabana, pool, playfield, and a dedicated mail kiosk.

"It’s exciting to have our first project in the greater Savannah area," said Jim Jacobi, president of Parkland Residential. "Pooler is growing rapidly, and it was a pleasure working with City officials and staff to supply much-needed essential housing to help support this thriving area."

The homes will offer spacious, rear-entry designs with either two or three bedrooms, and two-and-a-half bathrooms. Features include oversized owner’s suites, large walk-in closets, dual vanities, and covered outdoor living areas overlooking greenspace.

Palmetto Cay offers a prime location within the New Hampstead High School district, with easy access to shopping, dining, transportation, and major employers, including Hyundai Metaplant and the Port of Savannah.

"We are actively seeking additional land or lot opportunities to expand our footprint in this booming region," added Jacobi.
