
Growing federal demand for advanced defense infrastructure and engineering capabilities is creating continued opportunities for contractors supporting national security programs. Parsons has secured a $514 million, two-year contract option from the Missile Defense Agency (MDA), extending its role in engineering and technical support for the integrated Missile Defense System.
The contract option covers technical services supporting MDA studies, engineering analysis, evaluations and oversight activities. Parsons will continue providing engineering expertise across programs that contribute to the development and operation of integrated missile defense capabilities.
The work is part of the Technical, Engineering, Advisory, and Management Support, or TEAMS, Next Missile Defense System Engineering contract. The original contract was awarded in 2021.
The scope includes support for defense systems intended to address a range of missile threats, including ballistic and hypersonic weapons. Parsons' responsibilities span engineering and technical activities associated with missile defense programs operated across multiple defense domains.
The two-year option extends Parsons' existing relationship with the MDA rather than establishing a new standalone contract. The $514 million value represents the contract option awarded under the existing procurement.
For construction and infrastructure contractors, large federal engineering programs can generate opportunities across specialized technical services, systems integration, program management and supporting infrastructure. Defense-related procurement also requires contractors to meet federal contracting, security and technical qualification requirements.
The award provides Parsons with additional contracted work supporting a major federal defense agency and extends the company's participation in missile defense engineering.
