Paschen Engineering Scholars Celebrate Graduation and Welcome New Class

On Thursday, May 16th, Paschen Engineering Scholars marked their graduation at the annual Hard Hat Ceremony, honoring the achievements of six CPS George Westinghouse College Prep seniors.
This cohort, the sixth to graduate from the program, was joined by six freshmen who were introduced as the incoming class of Paschen Engineering Scholars.
The program, renowned for its hands-on curriculum, focuses on developing technical skills, fostering problem-solving abilities, and providing real-world work experience to prepare scholars for careers in STEM and construction fields.
Joe Scarpelli, Executive Vice President, expressed enthusiasm about inducting the new class of rising sophomores and announced internship opportunities for graduating scholars and Westinghouse students at the Paschen Bridge program this summer.
A highlight of the ceremony was honoring Jose Reyes, a pioneer Paschen scholar who recently earned a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from the University of Illinois and will join F.H. Paschen full-time in June.
Congratulations to the Class of 2024, and a warm welcome to the Class of 2027!
