PC Construction has recognized Brandon Rafferty as its 2026 Innovation Ambassador for advancing new technologies and encouraging their adoption across construction operations.
The annual recognition, presented as part of PC Construction’s Innovation Week, highlights an employee owner who demonstrates a sustained commitment to testing new ideas and helping teams apply them to project delivery. Rafferty has become a resource for teams working across estimating, preconstruction, project engineering and support functions.
Rafferty has played a leading role in PC Construction’s rollout of artificial intelligence, developing more than a dozen AI Skills that are now available to employees across the organization.
The tools are designed to provide construction teams with AI capabilities tailored to company workflows. In preconstruction, Rafferty has helped apply AI to document reviews, comment verification and comparisons between current drawing and specification revisions and earlier versions.
These applications can reduce repetitive document-review work while giving project teams additional tools to manage information during demanding phases of project development.
Rafferty has also supported the use of other technology platforms, including Bluebeam Max, as teams look for ways to manage heavy workloads more efficiently.
On a mission-critical manufacturing project, Rafferty used AI to help develop a risk register for a concrete tilt-wall structure. The process incorporated information from structural plans and technical specifications to identify areas requiring closer monitoring.
He is also automating a material-tracking log connected to the project schedule. In addition, Rafferty is helping the project team pilot a second scheduling system as PC evaluates whether the platform could support broader companywide adoption.
His innovation efforts extend beyond digital tools. Rafferty coordinated and procured a trial order of cooling hardhats for PC’s southern teams, allowing field crews to evaluate personal protective equipment designed to improve comfort and safety during hot-weather work.
Construction companies are increasingly evaluating AI, digital coordination tools and other technologies as ways to manage project information, improve productivity and support field operations. PC Construction’s recognition of Rafferty reflects an approach that combines technology testing with employee training and knowledge sharing.
By helping colleagues understand how new tools are developed and applied, the initiative can support broader adoption across estimating, preconstruction, engineering and field operations.
