PCL Construction has achieved a historic milestone, securing nine prestigious awards from Engineering News-Record (ENR) in recognition of its outstanding projects. This achievement was part of the 2024 National Best of the Best and Global Best Projects lists. The awards celebrate exceptional teamwork, innovation, safety, and quality, with PCL's projects standing out in various categories, including energy/industrial, government, specialty construction, and water/environment.

"These projects showcase the best of what we strive to achieve at PCL—innovative solutions, collaborative efforts, and delivering meaningful infrastructure for the communities we serve," said Deron Brown, PCL president and COO, U.S. operations.

Among the four U.S.-based projects recognized are:

The County of San Diego Southeastern Live Well Center, a Zero Net Energy facility serving as a central hub for health and social services.

Specialty Construction

The Minnesota Zoo Treetop Trail, transforming the zoo's former monorail track into the world’s longest elevated pedestrian loop.

The Northwater Treatment Plant, providing critical updates to Denver Water’s northern infrastructure with a capacity of 75 million gallons per day. The ENR Global Best Projects Awards further recognized PCL’s global projects, including the Fairmont Royal York Decarbonization, Rogers Centre Renovation Phase Two, Western Memorial Regional Hospital, 160 Front Street West, and BMO Centre Expansion.

"These winning projects showcase PCL’s expertise in delivering innovative, sustainable and industry-leading solutions," said Chris Gower, president and CEO of PCL.

The five Canadian projects recognized are:
