Plant Construction's renovation of Congregation Emanu-El in San Francisco has received three industry awards for its approach to historic preservation, structural engineering and sustainable design.
The Congregation Emanu-El renovation was recognized with the Structural Engineering Excellence Award from the Structural Engineers Association of Northern California (SEAONC) in the Historic Renovation category.
The project also received an AIA San Francisco Design Award and a Green Good Design Award presented by the Chicago Athenaeum Museum for Architecture.
The awards acknowledge achievements in architectural design, structural engineering and sustainable rehabilitation of an existing historic facility.
Plant Construction completed the renovation in collaboration with Equity Community Builders and Mark Cavagnero Associates.
