Community partnerships remain an important component of corporate giving programs across the construction industry, particularly for companies with long-standing operations in regional markets. Power Design has expanded that community investment through a $50,000 contribution supporting a Tampa Bay-area children’s charity.
Power Design served as the presenting sponsor of Rays on the Runway, an annual fundraising event benefiting the Children’s Dream Fund. The event brought together Tampa Bay Rays players, families, businesses and community supporters for an evening fundraiser.
The event took place at The Floridian Social in St. Petersburg, near Power Design’s headquarters. Fifteen children identified as Dream Children participated in the event alongside Rays players.
Funds raised through the event support personalized dream experiences for children and families in West Central Florida who are affected by life-threatening illnesses.
The $50,000 contribution was made through Power Design’s broader community-support efforts. The company operates Project V5, a program through which employees contribute time, skills and financial resources to community causes.
The sponsorship adds a local charitable component to Power Design’s broader business presence in the Tampa Bay region, where the company has operated for more than three decades.
For construction owners and specialty contractors, community investment programs can provide a structured way to support organizations in the markets where businesses maintain offices, employees and project operations.
Power Design’s sponsorship demonstrates how construction companies can direct corporate and employee resources toward regional nonprofit organizations while maintaining a connection to local communities.
