The dealership, owned by Matt Johnson’s Holiday Auto Group, spans approximately 26,000 square feet and includes 17 service bays. The facility is designed to serve as both a retail space and a community-oriented destination for customers in the rural Texas market.
A key feature of the project is its exterior construction, which utilizes brick throughout the sales building. The design pays homage to the nearby Thurber brick plant, historically known for supplying materials used in Camp Bowie Boulevard and the Fort Worth Stockyards. By incorporating this material, the project aims to reflect Gordon’s architectural heritage while delivering a modern dealership environment.
Inside, the dealership departs from traditional automotive showroom layouts by emphasizing comfort and hospitality. The interior includes a fireplace, deep leather seating and a ranch-inspired aesthetic intended to create a welcoming atmosphere for visitors.
Project leaders said the design approach reflects a broader trend in dealership construction, where customer experience is increasingly prioritized alongside operational efficiency.
“We love projects like this because it gives us an opportunity to show the range of capabilities our team has,” said Trent Prim. “Not only can we handle new modern dealerships with fine details, but we can also take on a project where the goal is to fit in with and pay homage to the surrounding community.”
The project underscores PRIM Construction’s ability to execute specialized builds that require both technical precision and contextual design sensitivity. The company has developed a portfolio that includes automotive dealerships as well as mid-rise office buildings and interior finish-outs.

For Holiday Auto Group, the new facility represents both an expansion and a continuation of a longstanding legacy. The dealership is part of a network that has served Texas communities for decades and is considered among the oldest Ford dealership operations in the United States.
“We look forward to growing Holiday Gordon Ford into a flagship location in a beautiful new facility built by PRIM,” said Matt Johnson of Holiday Auto Group. “We are proud of the legacy our dealership holds as one of the oldest Ford dealerships in the nation, and we look forward to continuing our service to the rural Texas community.”
The new Gordon location is expected to enhance service capacity and improve customer engagement, while reinforcing the company’s presence in smaller markets.
PRIM Construction, founded in 2007 by Beth and Trent Prim, has earned multiple U.S. Green Building Council LEED awards and holds certifications as a Women’s Business Enterprise and a Texas HUB contractor. The firm continues to expand its footprint across commercial construction sectors, with automotive retail projects remaining a key area of expertise.
