Delivering major aviation infrastructure ahead of schedule can reduce operational disruptions while accelerating airport expansion efforts. Pulice, a FlatironDragados company, has completed the DFW Airfield Safety & Efficiency Package 3 project at Dallas Fort Worth International Airport several months earlier than originally planned.
The project was carried out within the airport's Air Operations Area and focused on upgrading infrastructure that supports daily aircraft operations.
Construction activities included demolition of existing airfield pavement and utilities, installation of underground utility systems, reconstruction of pavement surfaces, new airfield markings and modifications to the airport's jet fuel system. The fuel system improvements were designed to support portions of the planned Terminal F expansion.
The project also involved the early turnover of Hardstand F and the Infield 3 area, providing Dallas Fort Worth International Airport with additional overnight aircraft parking capacity before the peak travel season.
Construction was performed while maintaining airport operations, requiring phased work and coordination to minimize impacts on aircraft movement and airport activities.
Completing the project ahead of schedule demonstrates the contractor's ability to execute complex aviation infrastructure projects within an active operational environment while meeting accelerated delivery milestones.
