RIGBY – Pick PT Physical Therapy, which currently operates five clinics across eastern Idaho, is breaking ground on a new, larger facility in Rigby as the demand for its services continues to grow.
The company opened its first Rigby location in 2022 at 711 Rigby Lake Drive, Suite 102, occupying a 1,600-square-foot space. However, that site has quickly become too small to accommodate the rising number of patients. To address this, construction will begin this month on a new 5,200-square-foot building located just at the opposite end of the same parking lot, pending final permit approvals from the city. The project is slated for completion by March 2026.
Dillon Wray, owner of the Rigby location, spoke with EastIdahoNews.com about the growth and the excitement surrounding the new clinic. “When we get really busy, we’re shoulder-to-shoulder over there,” Wray said. “It’s good for the social interaction, but it’s too chaotic.”

The new facility will allow for more spacious patient care areas and upgraded equipment to improve therapy outcomes. Wray, who specializes in vestibular therapy—focusing on balance, coordination, and neurological issues such as dizziness and vertigo—plans to introduce new tools specifically for these treatments.
“We’re adding parallel bars and a new cable harness system for people with balance issues,” Wray explained. “The harness system will keep patients attached in place as they perform more challenging tasks.” This equipment is designed to enhance patient safety and enable more effective therapy sessions.
A dedicated floor in the new building will be set aside for specialized services including postpartum therapy and pelvic floor rehabilitation, which have been important growth areas for Pick PT Physical Therapy.
The clinic’s broad range of services also includes orthopedic and spinal rehabilitation, chronic pain recovery, back and neck pain therapy, treatment for car accident and sports injuries, and post-surgical rehabilitation.
Wray’s patient demographic is diverse, ranging in age from as young as five to as old as 98 years. This wide age range highlights the clinic’s adaptability and comprehensive care approach.
Reflecting on his career choice, Wray shared, “I knew I wanted to be a physical therapist when I was 15 years old. I’ve always enjoyed exercise, but it was my sister’s boyfriend, who worked as a personal trainer, that introduced me to this profession.”
Wray also has a deep connection to the Rigby community. The plaza where the current clinic operates was still under development when he was in college, and he once dreamed of opening a clinic there. “The opportunity came up to lease that space,” he said. “We’ve since spoken with the owner of the plaza and were able to purchase ground (for our new building). That dream I had when I was younger is coming to fruition.”
His passion for the work goes beyond treatments and physical care. “I spend three to five hours a week with these patients sometimes,” Wray said. “Over weeks at a time, we build relationships. They open up to me, I open up to them. It’s amazing. When I see them outside of the clinic, I feel like we’re friends.”
Looking ahead, Wray hopes the expanded clinic will not only accommodate the increasing number of patients but also enhance the personal and professional connections he has built. “I grew up in Rigby, so it’s been fun to open a practice here, knowing people that I’ve known for years. To get that support to come back to us (and) build this building to accommodate more growth … is what I’m most excited about,” he said.
Pick PT Physical Therapy also operates two other clinics in Idaho Falls and locations in Ammon and Rexburg, further establishing itself as a key provider of physical therapy services throughout eastern Idaho.
With the new building, Pick PT Physical Therapy aims to continue growing its services while maintaining the personalized care and community focus that patients have come to appreciate.
