Rockefeller Group has reached a major milestone on one of Atlanta’s most high-profile developments, announcing the official topping out of 1072 West Peachtree, a 60-story mixed-use tower that is poised to redefine Midtown’s skyline and set a new standard for vertically integrated urban design. Rising above one of the city’s fastest-growing districts, the tower is now structurally complete as crews prepare for the next phase of construction ahead of its projected Spring 2026 opening.

The project—designed to achieve LEED Silver certification—will deliver a blend of modern office space, luxury residential living, resort-inspired amenities, and ground-floor retail. At 60 stories, 1072 West Peachtree will become the tallest tower built in Atlanta in more than 30 years, signaling renewed momentum for high-rise development in the city.

John Petricola, Senior Managing Director of the Southeast Region at Rockefeller Group, highlighted the project’s broader significance. “Topping out 1072 West Peachtree marks a defining moment for both Rockefeller Group and Midtown Atlanta,” he said. “This development represents the next chapter of mixed-use design in the city, where world-class architecture, and thoughtfully programmed amenities come together to create a one-of-a-kind vertically integrated community. When completed, 1072 West Peachtree will shape how people live, work and connect in Atlanta for years to come.”

A Transformational Mixed-Use Destination

The tower will include:

  • 224,000 square feet of boutique Class A office space across eight floors
  • 357 luxury residential units with sweeping skyline views
  • 6,300 square feet of ground-floor retail designed to energize West Peachtree Street
  • One full acre of indoor and outdoor amenities—a rarity for high-rise urban living

The amenity collection is designed to compete with top-tier hospitality offerings. Residents and tenants will have access to:

  • A resort-style athletic club with strength, cardio, and full-service locker rooms
  • Wellness features including private spa treatment rooms, sauna rooms, frost lockers, and athletic recovery areas
  • An indoor Pilates studio and private training studio
  • A Pickleball court overlooking Midtown, elevating recreation with skyline views

Sky Garden: Midtown’s Largest Outdoor Deck

One of the signature features of the project is the Sky Garden, envisioned as Midtown Atlanta’s largest elevated outdoor deck. The space is designed not only for relaxation but also collaboration and community programming, with:

  • Lounge seating
  • Collaboration pods
  • A flexible-use lawn for gatherings, games, corporate events, and social activities
  • Expansive views of Atlanta’s urban core

Turner Construction is serving as the general contractor, bringing the tower’s complex, mixed-use design to life. Atlanta-based TVS is leading architecture and interior design, creating an aesthetic that blends modernity with warmth and hospitality-inspired finishes.

Kevin Jenkins, Senior Vice President at Turner Construction Company, praised the team’s dedication. “The topping out of 1072 West Peachtree marks an incredible achievement for everyone involved,” he said. “The men and women on this project have shown exceptional commitment and craftsmanship throughout this journey. We’re honored to partner with Rockefeller Group on a development that celebrates their vision and stands as a new landmark on Atlanta’s skyline.”

A New Model for Midtown Living and Working

The tower reinforces Midtown’s growth as a live-work-play destination. Its central location offers unmatched walkability:

  • More than 100 restaurants, bars, and cafes within minutes
  • A 10-minute walk to Piedmont Park, Tech Square, Colony Square, and The Plaza Midtown
  • Access to both Midtown and Arts Center MARTA stations within five minutes
  • Quick connections to I-75, I-85, and a 14-minute drive to Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport

As Midtown continues to densify, 1072 West Peachtree aims to serve as a model for high-rise living that blurs the lines between residential, workplace, and social spaces—reflecting Rockefeller Group’s vision for next-generation urban environments.

Upon completion, the tower will stand as one of the most significant additions to Atlanta’s skyline in decades, reinforcing the city’s position as a national hub for business, culture, and innovation.
